Krave - Chocovore win prizes every hour

Chocovore Promo

Okay, we're a bit late to the party on this one (sorry about that) but we've only just seen the tv advert for this little promotion. Now, don't get me wrong, we haven't suddenly changed our stance on the enter unique code instant win promotions. Don't be silly. But, one thing that Krave has done with enormous flourish is set out there brand personality from the outset (which was September 2012 if you're interested) and gone for it with absolute gusto.

They have added an extra element which, happily, is a no purchase necessary route in the form of some mini-online games. I say games but there is still only one of the three games avaialble and the gameplay on that only game was pretty lousy on my browser.

So, what's it all about? There are 1,728 prizes to be won, one every hour between 7am and 11pm every day between 14th Jan and 30th April 2013. Prizes include:

  1. 1,628 x Starzik '1 month of music downloads'
  2. 35 x Puma Fashion Kits (3 x Puma bags and a cap)
  3. 28 x 7" Samsung Galaxy tablets
  4. 27 x RZA Wesc collection headphones
  5. 10 x Samsung Galaxy SIII mobile phones

You can enter 5 times per day providing you have unique codes from promotional pack or once per day if you've got a high score on the game. Winners are determined by pre-allocated 'Winning Moments' which have been randomly allocated throughout every hour period. The qualifying entry received on or soonest after that winning moment will win that prize. Prizes unclaimed in a given hour will roll over.

Overall, we love the brand theme and linking a breakfast cereal to a (Carry-on style) horror theme certainly appeals to my inner goth; prizes - okay but absolutely nothing to do with the brand or theme; chances of winning - slim; lack of mini-games - disappointing.

I am not sure this is even a valid offer. The code inside our packet comes up with "invalid code". Very very disappointing!

Have had at least three invalid codes. Computer autocompleted the code half way through entering it which means Ive had the same code before. Thought it was a mistake before but know this time that its dodgy as I tried the code straight after emptying the box so no way I could have used it already. What a joke, where's trading standards.

Hi John

Thanks for posting. We always recommend reporting such issues because, without being held to account, brand promotions will never improve. And If these promotional campaigns don't have any credibility with consumers then we may as well pack up and go home!

However, instead of reporting this to trading standards we would recommend reporting your problem to the Advertising Standards Authority in the first instance. They theoretically police any such offers which are 'advertised' online. You can do this by clicking here.

Alternatively, you can report them to the IPM which is the governing body for Sales Promotion practitioners. You can send them an email by clicking here.

Good luck and let us know how you get on. All the best,

Mosaic Marketing

I entered two codes before the promo started. Both worked. Since the promo started I have entered 9 more. All are apparently invalid codes. I will be reporting this to Advertising standards too.
