What's the big idea:
Mars is one of the UK's most iconic brands with a clearly defined
and established support of football having sponsored World Cups and
currently sponsoring the English and Scottish FAs. They memorably
launched limited edition 'Believe' packaging in support of England
in 2006, but what do they have in the locker room for 2012? Well,
this time round they have redefined the essence of their trademark
53 year old slogan to become 'Work Rest and Play Your Part' in
supporting England during their Euro 2012 campaign. Mars will help
consumers display their loyalties with the chance to win 1 of
100,000 limited edition football shirts.
How:
You have two ways to enter - text the unique code from promotional
packs along with the word MARS to 88802. Or visit the Mars website
and enter the unique code by following the link. You will be told
instantly if you have a winning code with details of how to claim
your prize. Unlike a 'Winning Moments' campaign, every code could
potentially be a winner.

Some consumers have reported a problem entering their codes. You
need to enter the unique code found in promotional packs in the top
box only. A security code is displayed in the middle box to prevent
automatic entries by robots / scripts / macros etc. This code
should be entered exactly as it appears on screen in the bottom
box. If you're still having a problem contact Mars customer
care number on 0845 045 0042.

Any good?
You can rely on Mars to produce strong well executed campaigns
which are impassioned and relevant to their brand heritage. Mars'
passion and positivity is especially admirable in the face of the
sad expressions of England players featured on their website. They
look pretty glum to say the least. Perhaps they have a more
realistic take on England's chances at Euro 2012 than Mars do?
