Campaign:
KitKat - Cross Your Fingers to Win 2012 Euros instantly
Running on:
Win 2012 Euros is running on 2 finger packs with a promotional
flash - Promoter is Nestlé Confectionery
What's the big idea:
Following on from 2010's Cross Your Fingers promotion, Nestlé has
shuffled their team sheet to provided our first unofficial Euro
2012 football promotion ladies and gentlemen. It's undoubtedly
trying to take the sting out of Mars' official
campaign in support of the England team and it's none too
subtle either: liberal use of 2012 numbers in copy and prize
quantities; a footballer and football image on the front of pack.
The proposition is the chance to win 2012 euros instantly in pack,
plus 2,012 instant win cash prizes online.
How:
If you've won the €2012 prize you will have a ticket inside your
pack telling you how to claim your prize. Otherwise entering the
unique number on their facebook page will give you the chance
to win one of 2012 cash prizes. Prizes are awarded according to
pre-allocated winning moments so if you're the first to enter on or
after the designated winning moment you're a winner.
In all instances keep your winning wrapper as you may be asked
to provide it for verification purposes.
What's on offer:
10 x €2,012 to be won instantly in pack
10 x €2,012 to be won instantly on-line
2002 x €20.12 to be won instantly on-line
Website:
www.facebook.com/kitkatuk
When:
You can enter up until 31st March 2013
Any good?
They got away with it last time, so the Fingers Crossed campaign
is back for more. Updated for the Facebook generation with
Facebook-only access to enter but the prize pot is the same or
lower as 2 years ago depending on the exchange rate when you read
this.
Couple of housekeeping issues: There's still a link to the 2010
campaign on the Kit Kat homepage - a little misleading to say the
least, particularly as there's no mention of the new campaign on
their Facebook page at the time
of writing. Surely a flash to say Coming Soon would avoid
confusion?
As a straightforward instant win it's okay. As a subversive
spoiler campaign it's flicking a proud two fingers at official sponsors.
