What's the big idea:
To quote from the brand owner themselves, the idea of the campaign is to "maximise the growing summer entertaining occasion and the rising trend in dipping". As the fastest growing sharing brand, the campaign utilises the most obvious platform - social gaming which is itself enjoying strong growth of 66%, hoping to drive linked chip and dip purchases. At the moment only 1 in 10 chip purchases lead to a dip sale, compared with 1 in 2 in the States. Clearly we have plenty of room to grow before we catch up with our American cousins.

The idea of the game is to emulate the original Dip Desperado, Esteban Ortega, who could throw a tortilla chip with such accuracy it was akin to a bullet. You toss your chip across the Mexican tundra, maintaining flight by pressing the space bar, avoiding obstacles, collecting gold and removing enemies in your path. You can pick up power-ups to aid your chip's flight in different ways.

How:
You can play and practise the game for free, but if you want to win any of the prizes you have to purchase a promotional pack of chips or dips and enter the 8-digit unique code found on packs. You will earn one prize game entry for chips and two for dips (see what they've done there?).

There is a daily draw of 1,000 prizes for all valid game entries over 100 points. For the top 3 highest scores each week, they automatically win one of the weekly leaderboard prizes. 

Please note, you can only win 5 Daily Draws a day and 4 weekly leaderboard prizes in total throughout the promotional period. Leaderboard winners can also only win one of each prize. So, if they topped the table twice, they will be awarded the next prize down and the second placed person would be awarded the top prize instead. Fair enough.

What can we say? Another fun, entertaining and engaging promotion from those clever Friend-Chips people. I don't know whether there are typos in the terms and conditions but there are some confusing inconsistencies in the nature and number of prizes - the Adventure Ropes description was particularly, how you say it, ropey? However nit-picking aside the game itself succeeds in being quite addictive and manages to sneak in subliminal serving suggestions for their Doritos Dips. You gotta hand it to 'em...
